Easy billing – it’s what we do

Alternate Billing Corporation (ABC) provides ABC Billing™ – an easy, "No Credit Card Required" payment option through LEC Billing for online consumers. We provide service to over 50 million consumers who can easily make digital purchases without divulging personal financial information by sending their digital service charges to the consumer’s monthly phone bill.

What is LEC Billing?
LEC stands for Local Exchange Carrier and refers to local telephone company that provides local services and long distance service. LEC billing allows us to bill through these services in order to place charges on the customer’s telephone bill.

Professional billing companies say Internet firms and a host of other businesses are already lining up to place their charges on local phone bills. 1

Providing an LEC billing option increases the likelihood of consumers making a purchase, for a variety of reasons.

  1. 94% of households have telephone service, only 66% of households have credit cards. 2

  2. 92% of online payments are made with credit cards. Yet, 78% of consumers say they would be more willing to purchase online if given easier and more secure payment options. 3

  3. 94% of consumers polled view the risks of providing personal information for online purchases as outweighing the benefits. 4

  4. Consumers have repeatedly indicated their preference for a single bill consolidating their telecommunications services. 5

LEC Billing is convenient, quick, and competitive with its costs (Fees are comparable to merchant bank discount rates). Consumers are can now use a “no credit card” approach and avoid disclosing highly personal financial information for each purchase.

With LEC Billing, consumers will be more willing to make small purchases because the fear entering highly personal information for such a small item will not be looming before them.
